I ordered the "Lever Light Ambient Lighting Novelty Design 8-Inch Stick Lamp" for two main reasons. First, we keep a number of rechargeable lights around the house for our inevitable electric power outages. Last month, for example, we had no less than eight power outages. (Our provider is Pacific Gas & Electric, also known as PG&E.)

Further, it looked like an unusual novelty light that would be a conversation piece with or without a power outage.

The lever light itself doesn't have a lot options for illumination. It provides a choice of off, lower light, or brighter light.

Honestly, that's enough for us. Usually, when lights offer multiple illumination options, such as RGB-colors, K-temperature, and brightness, I usually find the options I prefer and leave it like that for almost all of the time I use the fixture.

The lever light's portability and easy on/off features are useful for our main purpose in having the light during power outages.

The lever light reminds me of a large, cartoonish exclamation point (!). That, or a shifter on a race car. By the way, it's easy to charge -- and it's wall-mountable, if you want live dangerously.

This is VERY cute! But it's made of a lightweight plastic body and doesn't really feel like it would last if wall mounted and handled too roughly. I'm glad it comes with a mall mount option, however! Just know it likely won't stand the test of time in a kid's room with repeated use. It also doesn't emit too much light, and definitely serves more as an accent light or kitschy design feature. But it's really cute and I like the interactive element. I think it makes for a perfect, small, fun desk lamp at work... it will the talk of the office for a while, and it usually brings a smile! Recommended!

Nice soft light and the kids love it as a night light. Bought two and they both worked and the build quality is a great value for the money. Both functional and look really cool!
