This company sells really good quality nooks! Beautifully designed, clever and artistic! Even the instruction booklet is a pleasure to read - clear, precise and informative.

The pieces fit together well and they're not very delicate. They mostly fit securely, or if it's too tight a fit you just use the included emery board to take a little width off the inserting piece. I was nervous about doing "electrical work" but it all went smoothly, following the instructions step by step. The lamps are lovely, and the nook is very well-lit! I hope the bulbs last forever.

I find a brown marker very useful to camouflage any filed edges on the wooden pieces. I took the liberty of adding gold and silver detail with fine markers. Be creative and customize if you want!

I tried several glues, the best is Kuretake Zig 2 Way Glue Pen bc it's not too "wet" and dries quickly so you can keep going, and it works on wood and plastic as well as paper. I did find my hot glue gun useful to secure weightier pieces, but be careful not to add "bulk" where there shouldn't be. One thing to take special care with: When gluing a piece into an outlined spot, make sure to get that right! If you go over the line, it's possible that walls/floors won't fit properly. Happened to me and thankfully I was able to file an edge down to make it fit, because I would have ruined the nook if I'd ripped that big glued section off to re-glue it.

I've got six more nooks waiting to be built. I can definitely recommend these Cutebee products!

My daughter bought this for me for my bookshelves. When I saw this little crime scene, I really wanted this for my thrillers shelf and it looks great there.

The instructions were pretty clear and my daughter and I worked as a team to get this built. She is a huge fan of lego so she loves to build things. I handled the punch outs, the stickers and the lights. It is certainly easy enough to do alone but it was fun to work the puzzle together and only took a few hours. Long enough to enjoy the task but not too arduous that we were tired and frustrated.

This was our second attempt at one of these builds so we were already aware of the dangers of breaking some of the more delicate pieces, especially when trying to force them into the slots. There are extras of some of the more delicate pieces since they know you will probably snap one or two. It happens. (Some parts in the back and you will never notice that they are altered. It's okay.) It does come with a little tool to help your fingers push out the die cut pieces or for pushing them into slots. Use it! We even used a small hammer and this tool to tap in some of the more snug pieces. I really wish it came with a sturdier tool to help get the stickers on and to get these difficult pieces in. It would be worth a few dollars more to get a decent tool to work with.

So happy with this mini build! Iโ€™ve done many of these kits, and this is possibly one of the cutest ones! It was pretty simple to put together and is exactly as described!

Iโ€™ll be adding alot of personal touches and adjustments (adding fabric to the chairs, blood on the concrete instead of the wooden pieces etc) to make it look more realistic, so I didnโ€™t end up using all the little pieces.

I thought it was going to be wood, but itโ€™s not. Itโ€™s more like a thick, hard paper thatโ€™s been laser cut?
